ALPINE TERRAIN
Tour name | Description |
|---|---|
| Hauersee Lake (2,383 m - 6 hrs) |
This mountaineering tour leads into a wide high-altitude valley in wild surroundings. Hike across Hauerkar cirque to get to Hauersee lake. Haurseehütte hut offers accommodation for self-caterers. |
Hahlkogel Mountain |
In the mornings you can enjoy the sunshine on your way up. Hiking mostly in north-eastern to eastern direction one gets soon out of the forest; past pastures one gets to the steep and rocky part before the summit. Great view of the Längenfeld plain and of the secluded Polltal valley. |
| Gamskogel Mountain (2,813 m - 5 hrs) |
The difficult ascent across the western flank (easier alternative: past Nisslalm hut) offers fantastic views. Especially attractive are the views from the Platteneck vantage point at an altitude of 2,110m. |
| Luibiskogel Mountain (3,110 m - 8 hrs) |
This north to north-east-facing high-altitude tour leads through the thinning forest along good trails. Finally one gets into a wide high-altitude valley that ends with Hauerkar cirque. The small Hauerferner glacier is almost free of crevasses but the last ascent is quite steep. The fantastic view of the Lechtal Alps and the Verwall area is the reward for all efforts. |
